| The
artist left her native Pennsylvania after graduating from high
school to study art history at the University of Miami in Coral
Gables, Florida. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in
1969 she traveled to New England and continued studying art in
the Boston area. Years later Brenda left the cold north to settle
in the sunny south and moved to Louisiana. She eventually attended
the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts and in 1981 the Academy honored
her with the "John Singer Sargent Award for Painting in all
Mediums". For 30 years Brenda has established an art career
in the New Orleans area painting street scenes, landscapes, portraits
and caricatures. The artist's patrons include private individuals
as well as corporations from all around the world. As she continues
to create, the artist strives for excellence in her work with
nature as the inspiration.
